Lighting the way

“Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105 ESV
The Word of God is a light, but not as a powerful searchlight piercing the darkness for great distances; no as the psalmist states so simply yet powerfully, the Word lights my steps one by one as I journey through life. The world we live in is a dark place, full of all manner of traps that can destroy us and it is only the Word that can keep us from them when we daily seek the guidance there.
